Nurul Islam Biplob

Nurul is currently working as lead researcher at the Sajida Foundation, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As an anthropologist specializing in climate change, he is deeply passionate about studying the intricate relationship between societies and their environments. Nurul’s primary research interests revolve around climate governance, climate migration, and urbanization. He previously coordinated research projects at several prestigious institutions including the British Council, DAI Global, FHI360, MSF, Nara Women’s University in Japan, and BRAC University in Bangladesh. Additionally, Nurul was a former fellow at the Anant Fellowship for Climate Action and acted as a country focal point for Bangladesh in the ‘SLOCAT Transport and Climate Change Global Status Report – 2nd Edition’ in 2020.
